NSA mourns 2000–2001 NSA President, Sheriff Jerry “Peanuts” Gaines

NSA mourns the passing of 2000–2001 NSA President, Sheriff Jerry “Peanuts” Gaines of Warren County, Kentucky.

Sheriff Gaines faithfully served the people of Warren County from 1978–1982 and again from 1987–2018, making him the longest-serving sheriff in both Warren County and Kentucky history. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his community.

Monday, October 27
11:00 AM: Family visitation begins
12:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Public visitation
7:00 PM: Masonic Rites ceremony
Tuesday, October 28
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Visitation continues
11:00 AM: Funeral service
1:00 PM: Burial at Fairview Cemetery
2:00 PM: Meal and fellowship at Hillvue Heights Church
